Welcome to my Total Life Changes (TLC) Review.
One of the things that we are going to learn about is if Total Life Changes (TLC) is a scam or not.
We wouldn’t want to join an opportunity that we invest our time and hard earned money into to learn later on it is a scam, and we end up losing all the time and money we put into it.
It happens, so we are going to take a look at the information on the company, the products, and the compensation plan to see if at least they are in compliance with the law.
Out intentions are not to bash any company or opportunity, it is to find the gems that are out there, but when we find an opportunity that is not legitimate, we are going to call them out and describe why they are not legitimate.
With that said, let’s dive down into this unbiased review of the Total Life Changes opportunity.
Total Life Changes (TLC) Company Overview
In this section of the review, we are going to take a look at the Total Life Changes (TLC) company details.
When looking at any opportunity that you can make money with it is nice to see some transparency with the company owner.
When there is no transparency it makes you wonder why is the owner not revealing any information about themselves?
Either way, Total Life Changes (TLC) is transparent.
Total Life Changes (TLC) CEO and founders are Jack Fellon John Lacari and the company name was actually changed and rebranded to the TLC name in 2012 from SeAcai.
Since the name change and rebranding, the company has really taken off and continues to grow.
They both worked at Ford Motor Corp and the company was actually started in Jack’s basement.
Every so often I see a promotion information online about the company and opportunity which is always a good sign after so many years in business.
The company is based out of Fair Haven, MI in the United States.
What Is TLC?
That sums up everything I found on the company information, let’s move on to the next section.

Total Life Changes Compensation Plan Breakdown
In this section of the review, we are going to take a look at the Total Life Changes (TLC) Compensation Plan and how you make money with it.
One of the things that makes MLM so attractive to people is the residual income aspect of it.
Most people learn about the compounding effect where you take 1 penny and double it for 30 days which is referring to “duplication”.
Now if you were to do that with people there are many variables to consider than just doubling that person every day for 30 days.
Usually, the way it happens is when you start sponsoring or enrolling people into any MLM opportunity you will have only a couple of people that join and duplicate your efforts.
There are also people that simply drop out or quit.
So, when the example of 30 days is given it is really misleading.
However, this process is possible but it will probably take you a few years before reaching the substantial goals that you have set for yourself.
With that said, let’s start breaking down the TLC compensation plan starting with a video breakdown on how the compensation plan fully works.
After the video, I have included a brief summary of the 5 ways that you can get paid in the Total Life Changes pay plan.
The Total Life Changes (TLC) Compensation Plan Video
Total Life Changes offer 5 ways that you can get paid that include:
- The Fast Start Bonus
- Retail Customer Profits & Commissions
- Residual Income Via the Binary Pay Plan
- The Matching Bonus
- The Lifestyle Bonus
The Fast Start Bonus
TLC offers a fast start bonus which are commissions that you can earn when you initially refer someone to the TLC opportunity and they upgrade to a paid member.
The company offers up to 50% commissions on these fast start bonuses which are paid out the following commission pay run.
To earn the full 50% fast start bonus you will need to meet certain criteria in the company which the video will go into more detail on.
You will also get a fast start commission when you help one of your personally enrolled members sign someone up as well.
Retail Customer Profits And Commissions
Like all legitimate MLM companies, TLC offers retail commissions.
These are commissions that you can earn when you refer customers that purchase one of the TLC products from your affiliate links.
The volume that is generated from retail sales is also counted toward your monthly residual commission qualifiers.
TLC Residual Commissions (binary)
Like many other MLM companies, Total Life Changes (TLC) offers residual commissions that you can earn when you build a team of other affiliate members.
For those that are unfamiliar with how an MLM binary compensation plan structure works here is a quick breakdown:
- You only have 2 legs. (left and right)
- You can build unlimited levels deep.
- You can only qualify by personally sponsoring a person on your right and left leg that has an active subscription or you will need to replace them.
- The levels and spots can be filled with direct and indirect sponsoring.
- You get paid from the leg that has fewer sales volume.
That is the basics on how a binary pay plan structure works, the rest as far as what the company requires you to have as far as sales volume per leg to earn a certain amount of commissions will be listed on the video.
Depending on your rank will determine how much you can earn from the residual binary commissions that Total Life Changes (TLC) offers.
You will be able to earn anywhere from 10% to 25% from the volume that is generated from the leg that has fewer sales volume.
The maximum you can earn per week the company has capped at $20,000.
TLC also offers matching bonus commissions.
Depending on the rank that you qualify for in the company will depend on the amount that you can earn from the matching bonus commissions that the company offers.
The matching commissions will come from the binary residual commissions that your personally sponsored members earn per week.
This also includes referrals that your personal members sponsored as well.
Depending on the qualification that the company has set you can earn 50% from your personal members that you referred into the company as well as from the members that your personally referred members sponsored into the company.
The Lifestyle Bonus
The lifestyle bonus that Total Life Changes (TLC) offers is a monthly commission that you can earn when qualified.
This will depend on the rank that you reach.
Depending on the rank that you qualify for, TLC will pay you $1,500 in commissions every month for as long as you keep the rank and qualifications that the company has in place to earn these commissions.

Total Life Changes (TLC) FAQ Section
In this section of the review, we are going to answer some of the questions people may have when thinking about joining the Total Life Changes opportunity.
Is Total Life Changes (TLC) Accredited With The BBB?
Yes, Total Life Changes (TLC) is accredited with the Better Business Bureau.
A full BBB Listing on the TLC company can be found here.
Here is a breakdown of what the BBB has listed for the TLC company:
- TLC has an A+ rating
- Accredited since 8-17-2018
- In business for 15 years
- 22 complaints in the last 3 years.
Many of the reviews had to do with the product, but when reading most people talked about the product not helping them to lose weight which can be very misleading since everyone’s body type is different.
Now, I usually only refer to the BBB for additional company information and also to compare the reviews and testimonials from my other resources since the BBB has been known to have manipulated or false ratings from 3rd party companies.
However, when comparing the TLC BBB listing with other sources, in this case, it looks like they are similar in comparison.

My Final Total Life Changes (TLC) Review and Final Thoughts
In this final section of the review, I am going to share my personal thoughts on the Total Life Changes (TLC) opportunity overall.
We have taken the time to research and share the information that we found on the TLC company, the products, and the compensation plan.
We have also looked at whether or not the company is in compliance and legitimate.
We have found many aspects to the Total Life Changes business model that looks very good.
And the number of years that TLC has been in business proves my thoughts about this opportunity which is…
It’s a good MLM company that will be around for a long while.
I like the look and design of their website and the marketing that they offer to affiliate members.
With that said…
Would I recommend the Total Life Changes opportunity?
As far as being in compliance and being a great MLM company I would.
I feel that the TLC opportunity and business model is a great and positive one that should set the example for any new MLM company that is just starting out.
As far as just getting started out trying to make money from home I will not recommend this company due to the long learning curve MLM has in order to see any substantial results.
