iBuumerang Review – Scam or Legit Travel? Compensation Plan Exposed

Hey, welcome to my iBuumerang Review.

One of the questions that we are going to answer in this review is if iBuumerang is a scam or not.

We wouldn’t want to invest our money and time into an opportunity just to learn later that it was not legitimate and in danger of getting shut down.

iBuumerang Review

I am going to dig into the details about the company, the products, and the compensation plan to see if they have everything in place to be compliant with what the law requires this type of company to have.

I decided to take a closer look at this company because of Holton Buggs and the ton of interest we have seen online about it.

With that said, let’s dig in and see what we can learn about it.

iBuumerang Review – What Is It?

iBuumerang Reviews What Is It

iBuumerang is an MLM company that offers travel discounts and the ability to earn money by becoming an affiliate member and selling the product and by recruiting people that join the opportunity.

The niche that I would consider iBuumerang to be in would be the travel MLM niche.

Company Overview

Here is a passage from the company website that offers a description of themselves:

Here at ibüümerang, you throw out goodwill and savings and you get rewarded with a travel savings bonus in cash!

The only way you can get paid is if your customer saves money!

A unique, very cool, and fun way to earn additional income. A side hustle that can potentially become a life-changing opportunity!

Owner Information

When I look at any company that offers the opportunity to make money, we like to see who is behind it.

This allows me to check out the experience and background of the owner.

iBuumerang CEO Founder Holton Buggs

With that said, Holton Buggs is one of the CEOs of iBuumerang.

Alongside Holton Buggs, David Manning is the Co-Founders and is the owner of the travel booking engine that offers the discounts that customers and members can get.

Here is a list of the rest of the management team:

  • Terrance Gray “T.Gray” – VP of Business Development
  • Mark Kithcart – VP of Marketing
  • Peter Hirsch – Chief Giving Officer of the Buum Foundation
  • Lori Speers – Director of Travel Services

All of the management team that is listed above does have an impressive resume.

When they were in pre-launch the company launched a marketing pre-launch marketing website called CountDown4Freedom.

Countdown4Freedom offered a way for you to pre-enroll into the program to get a special founder position with a small benefit in the compensation plan.

Many people offered reviews about the company with detailed information on what they offered at the time.

We decided to wait to bring you this review because we had a feeling that the Countdown4Freedom name was not a permanent fixture.

I’ve seen this marketing tactic before, and it has produced great results in many cases.

Some of the experience that Holton Buggs have is that he had some major success and basically Holton Buggs breakthrough company which was called Organo Gold which was a coffee MLM company.

He was able to build a HUGE team and made a TON of money with Organo Gold.

Holton is still currently the CVO of Organo Gold.

When he started looking for other companies to make extra money, it seems like he took some tumbles with a few decisions that he has made.

Now, I am not saying he didn’t make money with those companies, I am just saying that some of the companies that he joined or counseled for were not really that legit in our opinion.

One of the “not so great” companies that Holton promoted was:

  • IQ Chain that rebranded into IQ Legacy
iBuumerang CEO Founder David Manning

David Manning, on the other hand, has been very consistent in the Travel MLM niche.

He was an affiliate member for a few of them and actually owned some.

One of the first MLM companies that he was part of was “The Vacation Network” which was back in 2012.

The latest Travel company he is part of is Xstream Travel which he currently owns and is a travel discount booking engine.

Xstream Travel is one of the parts that is fueling the product for iBuumerang as the discount travel booking engine.

In 2014, he was running the travel discount engine for Paycation but has since seemed to be taken over by Traverus.

The only thing that I would say about the travel niche which is a great niche in my opinion is…

It is a known fact that the travel MLM niche has been declining in interest for the last several years.

Hopefully, iBuumerang will bring the interest back to the travel MLM niche.

What Products Does iBuumerang Offer?

iBuumerang Travel Savings Booking Engine Packages

In this section of the review, I am going to dig into the information about the products that iBuumerang offers.

The product that iBuumerang has is a travel discount booking engine that is called iGo.

iGo is the discount travel booking engine that David Manning offers through his own company.

iGo provides discounts for:

  • Flights
  • Hotels
  • Rental Cars
  • Homes
  • Timeshares
  • and more…

When you refer customers and reps to Xstream (iGo) that book something, you will earn travel bonus commissions.

Say, for example, you get a group of people booking travel to a destination somewhere like:

  • Booking a big group for multiple hotel rooms or
  • Booking a multiple cabin cruise for a group or

When anyone wants to book something, you send them to Xstream and they will handle everything for you.

When they make the booking, you earn 25% commissions from the total cost.

The company also offers additional rewards and activities members and customers can take advantage of like:

  • Shopping Rewards
  • Gift Cards
  • Play Golf
  • Shore Excursions
  • Theme Parks
  • Worldwide Tours
  • Emergency Travel Services
  • Wine Club
  • Outdoor Activities
  • Restaurant Savings
iBuumerang Additional Product Saving Options

IBuumerang offers an extensive amount of travel activities that you can do with all of the services that they offer.

Another MLM company that offers great retail service is called Tradera.

With that said, let’s continue to the next section.

How Does The iBuumerang Compensation Plan Work?

iBuumerang Compensation Plan Breakdown

In this section of the review, I am going to cover the details on how the compensation plan works and how you can make money with the iBuumerang opportunity.

There are 3 main ways that you can get paid in iBuumerang which are:

  • Referring Customers that Book Travel
  • Current Team Members That Book Travel
  • MLM Referral Commissions

This, of course, is broken down into segmented ways that you can earn money with the iBuumerang opportunity, but these are the 3 ways that drive commissions.

Getting Started

How Does iBuumerang Work

The first thing that you will need is to join as an affiliate member.

The way that the compensation plan pays commissions is through the MLM binary and unilevel compensation plan.

In order to earn more commissions in the compensation plan, you will need to increase your rank in the company.

Increasing your rank will require certain qualifications in sales volume and sponsorships which is typical in most other MLM companies.

Let’s get started with the ranks that you can achieve and the qualifications that you will need to earn in order to reach these ranks.

Ranks and Qualifications

iBuumerang has a total of 14 ranks that you can qualify for.

The higher the rank that you can qualify for will mean the more money that you can make.

Here is a breakdown of the ranks and qualifications that you can reach in the iBuumerang compensation plan:

  • TSA Rank – To qualify for this rank you will need to have signed up as a Countdown4Freedom affiliate member and maintain your monthly membership cost.
  • Director Rank – To qualify for this rank you will need to generate 2500 PV or GV or both per month in sales production volume and also maintain 5 active boomerang customers.
  • Executive Rank – To qualify for this rank you will need to generate 5000 PVor GV or both per month in sales production volume and also maintain 5 active boomerang customers.
  • Senior Executive Rank – To qualify for this rank you will need to generate 10,000 or GV or both per month in sales production volume and also maintain 5 active boomerang customers.
  • Sapphire Rank – To qualify for this rank you will need to generate 15,000 GV per month in sales production volume or you can have a total team of at least 100 TSAs. You must also maintain 10 active boomerang customers.
  • Ruby Rank – To qualify for this rank you will need to generate 40,000 GV per month in sales production volume or you can have a total team of at least 200 TSAs. You must also maintain 10 active boomerang customers.
  • Emerald Rank – To qualify for this rank you will need to generate 80,000 GV per month in sales production volume or you can have a total team of at least 400 TSAs. You must also maintain 10 active boomerang customers.
  • Diamond Rank – To qualify for this rank you will need to generate 200,000 GV per month in sales production volume or you can have a total team of at least 1000 TSAs. You must also maintain 20 active boomerang customers.
  • Blue Diamond Rank – To qualify for this rank you will need to generate 500,000 GV per month in sales production volume or you can have a total team of at least 2500 TSAs. You must also maintain 20 active boomerang customers.
  • Black Diamond Rank – To qualify for this rank you will need to generate 1,000,000 GV per month in sales production volume or you can have a total team of at least 5000 TSAs. You must also maintain 20 active boomerang customers.
  • Presidential Diamond Rank – To qualify for this rank you will need to generate 2,000,000 GV per month in sales production volume or you can have a total team of at least 10,000 TSAs. You must also maintain 20 active boomerang customers.
  • Crown Diamond Rank – To qualify for this rank you will need to generate 5,000,000 GV per month in sales production volume or you can have a total team of at least 25,000 TSAs. You must also maintain 20 active boomerang customers.
  • Double Crown Diamond Rank – To qualify for this rank you will need to generate 7,000,000 GV per month in sales production volume or you can have a total team of at least 35,000 TSAs. You must also maintain 20 active boomerang customers.
  • Triple Crown Diamond Rank – To qualify for this rank you will need to generate 10,000,000 GV per month in sales production volume or you can have a total team of at least 50,000 TSAs. You must also maintain 20 active boomerang customers.

Travel Booking Commissions (retail)

iBuumerang Commissions

This is really a strange kind of commission structure that iBuumerang has put in place.

You can actually earn 50% of the 50% savings that your customers book.

I am sure there is a much easier way to explain this, but it sounds more complicated than it really is.

Basically, when a trip is found for a certain price, you can find that same trip for half price on iGo.

That same trip is sold for half off, plus an additional cost to pay for iBuumerang commissions.

Here is a breakdown of what the company offers as far as the Travel Booking commissions:

  • Standby Rank and Coach Class Ranked Members will qualify for 12.5% of the 50% of the 50%.
  • Business Rank and First Class Ranked Members will qualify for 100% of the 50% of the 50%.

These types of travel booking commissions are very different in our opinion.

Referral Commissions (fast starts)

Just like many other MLM companies out on the market today, iBuumerang offers referral commissions or what some companies call “fast start commissions”.

These are commissions that you earn when you sponsor a new person that joins you and is usually paid the following week.

This is paid out only when they join, and when they renew their membership in the next month, you will get paid through the residual compensation plan structure.

Here is a breakdown of the referral commissions that you will earn once you bring in a new member:

  • When you refer someone that joins as a Coach Class member you will earn $20.
  • When you refer someone that joins as a Business Class member you will earn $40.
  • When you refer someone that joins as a First Class member you will earn $80.

Residual Commissions (binary)

When both members and customers that are on your team (downline) purchases anything through the iBuumerang program on their second month with the program you will what is called residual commissions.

The company pays out these commissions using the MLM binary compensation plan structure.

For those that are not familiar with how the binary compensation plan works, here is a quick breakdown:

  • Binaries have 2 legs, left and right.
  • You have to have a personally referred member on your left and right leg to qualify for these commissions.
  • Each leg can be built to unlimited depth.
  • Each leg can be filled with direct and indirect sponsoring.
  • Your personally sponsored members will land on the outside of the legs.
  • The leg that has fewer sales volume generated is considered your weaker leg.
  • The weaker leg is also known as your pay leg.
  • The volume that is generated on these legs is with anything that both customers and members pay with iBuumerang.
  • These commissions are paid monthly.

Hopefully, this overview helps those that were unfamiliar with how the binary compensation plan works make it more clear how it works.

With that said, iBuumerang has several ranks, and the higher the rank you qualify for will determine the amount that you can earn in your residual compensation plan with the company.

Here is a breakdown of what you can earn with the residual compensation plan depending on the rank that you qualify for:

  • TSA Rank – When you qualify for this rank you are capped to earn up to $1000 per week. This rank pays 10% from the sales on your weaker leg.
  • Director Rank – When you qualify for this rank you are capped to earn up to $1500 per week. This rank pays 12% of the sales on your weaker leg.
  • Executive Rank – When you qualify for this rank you are capped to earn up to $2000 per week. This rank pays 12% of the sales on your weaker leg.
  • Senior Executive Rank – When you qualify for this rank you are capped to earn up to $2500 per week. This rank pays 12% of the sales on your weaker leg.
  • Sapphire Rank – When you qualify for this rank you are capped to earn up to $3000 per week. This rank pays 15% of the sales on your weaker leg.
  • Rubie Rank – When you qualify for this rank you are capped to earn up to $5000 per week. This rank pays 16% from the sales on your weaker leg.
  • Emerald Rank – When you qualify for this rank you are capped to earn up to $10,000 per week. This rank pays 17% from the sales on your weaker leg.
  • Diamond Rank – When you qualify for this rank you are capped to earn up to $20,000 per week. This rank pays 18% from the sales on your weaker leg.
  • Blue Diamond Rank – When you qualify for this rank you are capped to earn up to $30,000 per week. This rank pays 19% from the sales on your weaker leg.
  • Black Diamond Rank – When you qualify for this rank you are capped to earn up to $50,000 per week. This rank pays 20% from the sales on your weaker leg.
  • Presidential Diamond Rank – When you qualify for this rank you are capped to earn up to $100,000 per week. This rank pays 20% from the sales on your weaker leg.
  • Crown Diamond Rank – When you qualify for this rank you are capped to earn up to $150,000 per week. This rank pays 20% from the sales on your weaker leg.
  • Double Crown Diamond Rank – When you qualify for this rank you are capped to earn up to $200,000 per week. This rank pays 20% from the sales on your weaker leg.
  • Triple Crown Diamond Rank – When you qualify for this rank you are capped to earn up to $250,000 per week. This rank pays 20% from the sales on your weaker leg.
How To Make Money With iBuumerang

Residual Commissions (unilevel)

iBuumerang also pays additional residual commissions using an MLM unilevel compensation plan.

For those that are not familiar with how the unilevel compensation plan works, here is a quick breakdown:

  • 1st Level – The first level of your unilevel compensation plan will only have your personally sponsored members on it.
  • 2nd Level – The second level of your unilevel compensation plan will only have team members that your level 1 members personally sponsored on it.
  • 3rd Level – The third level of your unilevel compensation plan will only have team members that your level 1 members personally sponsored on it.
  • and so on…

These residual commissions are paid out from your team’s monthly membership fees and from any booking purchases that your team makes.

The higher the rank in the company that you qualify for will mean the more levels of commissions that you can earn from your unilevel pay plan.

There is a total of 7 levels that you can earn from.

Here is a breakdown of what you will get paid depending on the rank level that you are qualified at in the company.

  • TSA Rank – When you qualify for this rank you will earn 10% on level 1 only.
  • Director and Senior Director Ranks – When you qualify for these ranks you will earn 10% on levels 1 and 2.
  • Executive Rank – When you qualify for this rank you will earn 10% on levels 1, 2, and 3.
  • Sapphire Rank – When you qualify for this rank you will earn 10% on levels 1, 2, and 3, and 8% on level 4.
  • Ruby Rank – When you qualify for this rank you will earn 10% on levels 1, 2, and 3, 8% on level 4, and 7% on level 5.
  • Emerald Rank – When you qualify for this rank you will earn 10% on levels 1, 2, and 3, 8% on level 4, 7% on level 5, and 6% on level 6.
  • Diamond and higher Rank – When you qualify for these ranks you will earn 10% on levels 1, 2, and 3, 8% on level 4, 7% on level 5, 6% on level 6, and 5% on level 7.

Generational Unilevel Bonus (leadership)

The Leadership bonus commissions that iBuumerang offers payout using the unilevel compensation plan that was explained above.

This bonus pays on the Sapphires that are in any single leg of your unilevel pay plan.

If there is no Sapphire rank found on any one leg, then no leadership bonus is offered on that leg.

Basically, how the unilevel works, every member that you personally sponsor is considered 1 leg.

For example, say if you have 4 Sapphire ranked members within a single leg, you have 4 generations of Sapphire ranked members in that leg.

If you qualify to earn from 2 generations, then you will get paid a matching percentage down to the second Sapphire ranked member.

Hopefully, that makes sense of how the generational leadership bonus commission match works.

Depending on the rank that you qualify for will mean more money and generations of Sapphires ranked members that you can earn from.

Here is a breakdown of what that looks like:

  • Sapphire Rank – When you qualify for this rank, you will be able to earn 2% on all members up to 1 generation of Sapphire Ranked members on every leg of your unilevel compensation plan.
  • Rubie Rank – When you qualify for this rank, you will be able to earn 3% on all members up to 2 generations of Sapphire Ranked members on every leg of your unilevel compensation plan.
  • Emerald Rank – When you qualify for this rank, you will be able to earn 4% on all members up to 3 generations of Sapphire Ranked members on every leg of your unilevel compensation plan.
  • Diamonds and Higher Ranked Members – When you qualify for these ranks, you will be able to earn 5% on all members up to 4 generations of Sapphire Ranked members on every leg of your unilevel compensation plan.

Bonus Pool

iBuumerang also offers a company-wide profit bonus pool where they take a percentage of the company-wide profit and puts in a pool and divides it out to all that qualify.

The full details are not specified at this time how they are going to do this, but the company seems to be launching in stages so I am sure that the details will be released soon.

Other than that, this is all of the information we have to share with you about how the compensation plan works and how you can make money with the iBuumerang opportunity.

Let’s continue.

My iBuumerang Q and A Section

In this section of the review, I’m going to answer some of the questions that people may have when thinking about joining the iBuumerang opportunity.

Is iBuumerang Accredited With The BBB?

No, iBuumerang is not accredited with the Better Business Bureau at this time because it is new.

In time, the company may or may not become accredited with the BBB and this is not an indication of a company being a scam or not.

There are a TON of companies that are not listed with the BBB that are 100% legitimate.

What’s The Cost To Join iBuumerang?

The minimum cost to join iBuumerang will be $49.95 per month to become an affiliate member.

Now, you will be able to purchase the global packages that the company offers that offer commission perks and benefits.

Here is a list of the global packages that the company offers:

  • Coach Class Package – This package will cost $250 and then $49.95 per month.
  • Business Class Package – This package will cost $500 and then $99 per month.
  • First-Class Package – This package will cost $1000 and then $99 per month.

The difference will be the commissions that you will be able to earn which means the higher the cost, the higher the commissions that you will be qualified to earn.

The next section of the review will answer the main question that people are asking which is…

Is iBuumerang A Scam or a Legit Travel MLM?

Is iBuumerang A Scam or Legit Opportunity

In my opinion, iBuumerang is not a scam, and here are the reasons why:

  • They offer a great retail service
  • They have an excellent management team and leadership
  • They offer a unique and fair compensation plan

With that said, the people behind iBuumerang have a ton of experience and success in the MLM industry.

If anyone is going to bring the interest back into the Travel MLM niche, these guys will, and if not, I don’t think anyone can.

My Final iBuumerang Review and Thoughts

In the final section of the review, I’m going to share my final thoughts about the iBuumerang opportunity.

I have taken the time to review the information and details about the iBuumerang company, the products, and the compensation plan.

I have shared my personal opinion on why I didn’t feel that this opportunity is a scam and gave my reasons why.

At this point, you should have a good idea about what iBuumerang is, what they offer, how it works, and how you can make money with it.

What are your thoughts about it so far?

But here is the question…

Do I Recommend Joining The iBuumerang Opportunity?

At this time, since the niche is not really doing that great as far as interest is concerned, I would not personally recommend it at this time.

I would personally wait until the company passed the test of some time and shows that they are doing well and steadily increasing in size and are not experiencing any tech issues.

If they do pull through, then it might turn into a huge opportunity.

I do recommend the company as a legitimate program, but if you were to ask me if I would join, no I would not at this time.

With that said, Holton Buggs doesn’t play around when it comes to building a business, but it is ultimately up to you to decide if this is the right opportunity for you.

And with that said, I hope you enjoyed my iBuumerang review.

A friend of mine asked a very good question about this today.

When people book, how do they know that their credit card information is safe? I’m thinking of signing up but I need all the information first!

    • Well, I do know that with any credit card purchase, your bank has very good security precautions. I am not affiliated or associated with the iBuumerand company, so I would recommend contacting support to answer your question. Thanks for the comment Kev.

  13. Hey thanks for the review i am still wondering if i should join, because 90 % of the people that joined ibuumerang isn’t making money from the traveling and the special vibe rates, all they are doing is begging people to join to earn money and at one point i can see they are going to run out of friends because each one that joins is also forced through a bunch of zoom videos to let others join, it seems its no use to send out boomerangs because theirs a big challenge now person aren’t traveling much and also a lot of other travel sites are really putting out lower rates for traveling and bookings than buum, so at this point all that is going on is people begging others to join to gain and that is gonna cause trouble soon PYRAMID
