First thing’s first, let me share the AdvoCare opportunity video created by the company itself that will give you a good overview before we get further into more details.
AdvoCare MAJOR 2019 UPDATE!
On May 17, 2019, Advocare released a press release that announces that they are changing their Multi-Level compensation plan over to a single-level affiliate compensation plan!
This is due to the FTC and the talks they were having with the company in the last few months.
Basically, what I am getting is that if Advocare doesn’t change its compensation plan to comply with FTC MLM regulations, they will get shut-down.
What I am gathering is that the company is taking drastic steps by switching over to a single-level affiliate pay plan to save the company.
This change will take effect on July 17, 2019.
This is very unfortunate for all of the current distributors in the company that had large teams because their commissions will only be left to earning from their personally recruited members only from July 17, 2019, and beyond.
There will be no commissions paid to any members for any additional levels or any bonuses or anything other than commissions made from your personally recruited members and customers.
I would say that NOW is the time to look into affiliate marketing since it is much more of a stable business model!
With that said, I am going to leave the information about the compensation plan below for any future reference.

The most important thing that anyone can do is to first research the company, the products, and the compensation plan to know that it is legitimate and makes sense.
Research might be boring and take too long, but the more you learn about different opportunities commission plans, the more educated you become on how to structure your business for the maximum payout, and this becomes very important over time, so it’s a good habit to take some time to just do it.
Even though the opportunity might seem to be the best thing since the light bulb, we still have to take the time to do what we need to do to know whether or not this is the best opportunity for us.
With that said, I know that one of the utmost critical areas about a company is its compensation plan, or the commission structure because it is of the utmost importance to learn how to structure your team when you build to earn the most out of it that you can earn from the business opportunity.
And with a business opportunity not having an easy to grow compensation plan, or without a compensation structure that’s easy to figure out, you’ll have no idea on how to build a great foundation, you will undoubtedly need to understand this for you to sustain a solid long-term recurring commission flow.
In my AdvoCare article, I want to give you a complete understanding of what the program has to offer by going over the compensation plan, the company, and the products.
And in the final part of this review, we will close with my personal thoughts and feelings about the AdvoCare company.

The AdvoCare Company Overview
AdvoCare International, L.P. is an American multi-level marketing company that sells dietary supplements.
The company, headquartered in Plano, Texas, was founded in 1993 by Charles Ragus and employed roughly 250 people in 2013.
AdvoCare distributes its products in the United States through a network of approximately 60,000 independent distributors.
Some AdvoCare Complaints
There have been a few complaints about AdvoCare ranging from sponsored Athletes participating in regulated sporting events and dropping a dirty test with the allegation of the substance that caused the failed test was in an Advocare product that was taken to various lawsuits that some were won and some were lost.
But I wanted to point out that if you as a distributor fail to stick to their rules and regulations you can be let go.

The firing of distributors – there have been quite a number of distributors who have been sent packing from AdvoCare for various reasons ranging from misrepresentation of information, overpricing, or underpricing of products. The company lost some cases and also did win others. It worth reading the judgments before you join the company.

My Thoughts About This
I understand that the company has to stay within the guidelines to maintain the business, so by letting go of the distributors that are not following the rules they can maintain this guideline to show the regulators that the company is not going to put up with rules breakers.
But on the other hand, doesn’t that feel like you are at a job when you hear stories like this?
I know that’s the feeling that I get.
And with that said, I didn’t go into business for myself with the fear that I might get fired later down the road even after I build a huge team.
That just does not sit well with me, and that is exactly why I stay away from companies like these.
The AdvoCare Products
AdvoCare sells several lines of dietary supplements under the brand names Trim, Active, Well, Performance Elite, Fit, and 24 Day Challenge.
At this point, I am going to cover some of the products that AdvoCare has to offer.
I am not going to list all of them just because they have SO MANY products that this review would have primarily consisted of product information and that is not why you are here.
But I will cover their top 10 just so that you can get more information about AdvoCare and what they offer along with the commissions you can make with the AdvoCare compensation plan.
Top 10 AdvoCare Products
Spark – This is the product that gives you sustainable energy throughout the day infused with vitamins and minerals. Spark comes in 8 flavors which are Mandarin Orange, Pink Lemonade, Cherry, Grape, Fruit Punch, Citrus, Cherry, Mango Strawberry, and Watermelon. You can order Spark in pouches or in a canister.
Rehydrate – This is the product that helps rehydrate your body similar to what Gatorade or Powerade does but without all the added sugars and stuff that your body doesn’t really need. It comes in 5 different flavors which are red raspberry, pineapple, strawberry, peach, and key lime cherry. Rehydrate sells in pouches or in a canister.
The AdvoCare Herbal Cleanse – This is the product that detoxes your body by removing toxins from your body’s system and replacing them with healthy vitamins and nutrients. This is considered a gentle cleanse and not an intense cleanse and won’t leave you needing the bathroom every 3 minutes. The flavor of this product comes in Peaches and Cream or Citrus.
**This product is part of the 24-day challenge pack but can be purchased separately.
Catalyst – This is the product that helps maintain muscle mass while you are on your workout schedule. This product is part of the 24-day challenge pack as one of the vital ingredients. You can order Catalyst by itself or with the kit.
Arginine Extreme – This is the product that helps maintain and gives you longer workouts. Usually taken 30 minutes before any workout, and helps by sustaining your energy throughout your whole workout routine no matter what the intensity. This product also helps you heal faster from your workouts, helps hydrate your muscles, and helps to oxygenate your blood when the arginine is broken down into your body. You can order Arginine Extreme in a canister.
02Gold – This is the product directly designed to help oxygenate your body. This product helps give you clarity and energy while giving your body more energy for longer-lasting workouts.
The Post-Workout Recovery Shake – This is the product that will help you recover from some of those hard workouts that we all have. It will also give your muscles the food it needs to help maintain those gains that you get. This product comes in Vanilla or Chocolate flavor usually in a canister.
Nighttime Recovery – This is the product that helps rejuvenate your body with vitamins and nutrients so that it will continue to recover throughout your night’s sleep.
The Meal Replacement Shake This is the product that will help take the place for some of those meals that are usually skipped that your body needs. These shakes are 220 calories of pure goodness. Packed with 26 vitamins, and 24 grams of protein with little carbs. This product comes in Vegetarian Chocolate, Vanilla, Berry, Chocolate, and Chocolate Mocha flavor and usually sold in a container.
The 24 Day Challenge Pack – This is not a single product but a pack of various products designed to help you lose weight and get healthier overall. I added this pack because it is one of the best-selling products that AdvoCare has to offer so I felt it needed to be on this list.
AdvoCare Pay Structure Breakdown
The AdvoCare commission structure is designed in the “Unilevel” MLM or Network Marketing pay structure.
This means with this compensation plan you can have unlimited 1st level personal referrals and the growth from your legs will be from your personal referrals efforts as far as growth for that individual’s personal referral leg.
Similar to the doTERRA compensation plan when it comes to the unilevel pay structure that they both are using, but designed totally different in many aspects listed below that actually I feel is better in many ways.
When you bring in new referrals they will be placed on your first level.
The more you bring in the more legs you will accumulate.
For example, 10 referrals equal to 10 legs. When your personal referrals start referring people to AdvoCare as well is when the depth of your levels starts to accumulate.
This is when your pay starts to increase as well.
The key is that you want your whole team to at least reach the Advisor rank level.
That will open up the overrides that the company awards you with commissions explained below.
When you first start out, you instantly receive a 40% discount on all products.
AdvoCare Compensation Plan
The AdvoCare compensation is constructed to pay out in 5 different ways.
When you first get started you come in as a distributor and can only earn in 2 ways which are:
- Retail Profits
- Wholesale Commissions
When you reach the level rank of Advisor you open up all the power of the pay structure and are now able to earn in all of the 5 ways of the Advocare Compensation Plan.
- Retail Sales – With retails sales you earn commission by selling products locally and earn a commission. As an AdvoCare rep, you receive a 40% discount so let’s say you buy the product at $117.42 (the 24-day challenge pack) at your wholesale price and sell it at retail for $195.70 you will earn $78.28 in instant commissions.
- Wholesale Commissions – This is when a customer or a distributor comes to your website and buys a product. Let’s say the customer visits your website to buy the (24-day challenge pack) at $195.70 retail cost, as the referring distributor you earn a 20% commission from these sales that will pay you $39.14 in commissions.
- Override Commissions – (this is only available to Advisor level rank distributors and above) This is paid 3 levels deep and from Advisor rank levels. The commissions you earn from them are from 50% of the product purchase multiplied by 5 – 7%. (Let’s take $195.70 X 50% = $97.85 X 7% = $6.85 in override commissions) Overrides can grow as your team grows. Override ExamplesYour GV or group volume is calculated by all your personal Advisor positions production.
- Leadership Bonuses – When you qualify for the Silver level rank, you will now earn an additional bonus on top of your regular overrides that you get at the Adviser rank level. When you move up in rank level, that bonus is compounded from the rank prior to moving up and keeps adding the new additional bonuses when increasing in rank AND without all prior rank bonuses falling off.
- Incentive, Trips, and Pay Period Bonuses – These are contests that the company puts out to help with momentum and excitement in the company. Contests could be an X amount
Your personal volume that you accumulate is calculated through your personal purchases, personal sales, and volume from your distributors that are not yet at the Advisor level.
Volume generated from any of your personal Advisors that has a volume that exceeds 3000 volume.
AdvoCare Ranks (Leadership Levels)
To move up in rank you will need both volume production from your personal referrals that hit the Advisor rank, and also multiples of Star Legs to reach the higher ranks as you can see in the chart below.
You can also see that starting with the Silver rank, you will earn an additional percentage for your overrides which works like this:
Say that one of your Advisors make $1500 in volume, you will earn the normal 5 – 7% on that number which I gave an example above on how to calculate your override, you will also earn an additional percentage on that same $1500.
The percentage is dependent on the level/rank you are as specified below.
Important Note: When you hit Silver rank, you will earn an additional bonus percentage described below.
Each time you rank higher, you will add to the percentage you earned from the previous rank.
Distributor – When you simply join as an affiliate member, this is the starting point up until you gain $1000 of personal sales volume through retail and wholesale sales, and through your distributors that you personally sponsor.
Advisor Rank – You will need to accumulate $1,000 in personal and group volume. At this level, you are qualified to receive the override bonuses.
Silver Rank – You will need to accumulate $3,000 in personal and group volume to reach this rank. You will receive an additional 3% override bonus on this level.
Gold Rank – You will need to accumulate $15,000 in personal and group volume to qualify for this rank. You will receive an additional 3% override bonus on top of all previous rank levels bonus percentages.
Gold 3 Star Rank – You will need to accumulate $15,000 in personal and group volume plus 3 Star Legs to qualify for this level which will give you an additional 2% override bonus on top of all previous rank levels bonus percentages.
Ruby – You will need to accumulate $30,000 in personal and group volume plus 3 Star Legs to qualify for this level which will give you an additional 2% override bonus on top of all previous rank levels bonus percentages.
Ruby 6 Star – You will need to accumulate $30,000 in personal and group volume plus 6 Star Legs to qualify for this level which will give you an additional 2% override bonus on top of all previous rank levels bonus percentages.
Emerald – You will need to accumulate $60,000 in personal and group volume plus 6 Star Legs to qualify for this level which will give you an additional 2% override bonus on top of all previous rank levels bonus percentages.
Emerald 9 Star – You will need to accumulate $60,000 in personal and group volume plus 9 Star Legs to qualify for this level which will give you an additional 2% override bonus on top of all previous rank levels bonus percentages.
Diamond – You will need to accumulate $120,000 in personal and group volume plus 9 Star Legs to qualify for this level which will give you an additional 4% override bonus on top of all previous rank levels bonus percentages.
Platinum – You will need to accumulate $120,000 in personal and group volume plus 18 Star Legs to qualify for this level which will give you an additional 0.25% override bonus on top of all previous rank levels bonus percentages.
Double Diamond – You will need to accumulate $120,000 in personal and group volume plus 24 Star Legs to qualify for this level which will give you an additional 0.25% override bonus on top of all previous rank levels bonus percentages.
Triple Diamond – You will need to accumulate $120,000 in personal and group volume plus 36 Star Legs to qualify for this level which will give you an additional 0.25% override bonus on top of all previous rank levels bonus percentages.

Tips For Building The AdvoCare Commission Structure
If you decide to build AdvoCare, make sure to learn this compensation plan very well.
Next, you are going to want to stay consistent because with this type of commission structure you are going to have your bad and good months when you are just getting started.
So staying consistent is the key to having success with AdvoCare.
Think of the long-term game, don’t think that short-cuts are going to get you there faster.
How Much Does It Cost To Join AdvoCare?
Becoming a Distributor to earn commissions you will need $59 to start.
But you will want to purchase some product, usually a product package to get a better start by having personal volume when you start.
Is Selling AdvoCare Worth It?
After breaking down the compensation plan and compared it to some of the other popular pay structures that are on the market today like the Beachbody pay plan and the Mary Kay pay plan I feel it stacks up.
What I mean by that when you calculate the potential earnings and what they show on the AdvoCare chart I included above, those numbers are right on track.
It’s easy to understand how much money you will earn by simply breaking down the math for any level that you can qualify for.
I actually like it.
When I first looked into it, I kind of had to take a couple of looks just because it is a bit different compared to any other unilevel pay structure that I reviewed in a while.
The only thing is that those volume requirements are high, but not a total deal-breaker, just know that you are not going to be able to retire overnight.
This is going to have to be a long-term build for you, that you must stay focused on.
My final say on the compensation plan is that it is a solid comp plan that is structured very well and I feel that if you are asking if selling AdvoCare Worth It?
I feel it is.
My AdvoCare Final Thoughts and Recommendations
To be totally honest, it’s going to be a hard journey up to that income pole if you don’t already have prior experience and a team to bring over other skilled Network Marketers when you start a new opportunity… with that said, it’s not impossible, it’s just gonna take work. You are looking at a statistic of 100 to 3 which means for every 100 people you bring in as reps, only around 3 will be your builders to help you build your organization.
And with an old-school tactic, you will eventually run out of people to talk to that are on your list.
But with the bigger MLM companies, you are not going to be able to get away with advertising online for too long due to their strict guidelines for advertising on the internet.
So for this to work you must lead with a front-end offer.

Working the opportunity side of AdvoCare is only 1 way to earn money online or from home.
With what opportunities out that are available, there are many other ways to make money from home that you have at your disposal.
With that said, AdvoCare could work out to be the perfect fit for you.
There have been plenty of times in my experience that I have witnessed a person with little to no experience join a company and blow it out of the water and make some incredible income.
And by no means that the success that they achieved was sheer luck, we all had to work our butts off to get there.
But when you keep going and keep motivated and inspired at what is possible then there is no reason for you not to succeed with the AdvoCare compensation plan.

I didn’t start out successful but over the years of not giving up and the help of the Internet, I eventually grew some of the largest teams with some of the organizations I was with and made tons of money in Network Marketing.
